Hi, I’m Liliana!

Currently based in Boulder, I (virtually) graduated from Salisbury University with a Bachelor in Fine Arts and a track in Graphic Design in Spring of 2020. I (equally?) divide my time between watching Fixer Upper, baking for my roommates and doodling everyone's dogs!

I love to create in all forms - from brand identity to illustrations to web design and beyond (I even hand draw with a pencil sometimes! Shocker these days, I know). Back in high school when deciding on a career to pursue, I realized I have been practicing graphic design my whole life! As a little girl, I designed posters for my "plays" using word art and drew menus for whatever mysterious "dinner" I was preparing.

The idea of “mere exposure effect” has led me to dive deeper into the meaning of graphic design in recent months. In other words, when someone sees a logo, they are comprehending a certain message without realizing it. Whether that reaction is because of its color or iconography, a logo is a powerful representation of a company - with this power comes responsibility. Therefore, every approach to a new design should be different and tailored to the client. With this in mind, my design process is constantly changing with reoccurring steps along the way. To me, this is the most exciting part about design. Every day I am on the edge of my seat eager to see how I will change a design and how I will change as a designer.

I love how graphic design offers the ability to incorporate creativity into everyday projects. I also strongly believe in the importance of first impressions - a big part of which is creating an identity that stands out from the crowd. There is nothing I want more than to have a career I genuinely enjoy doing everyday. I love interacting with new people and working together to create visually pleasing and vibrant art. I aspire to learn all there is to know about this field, and I believe I have a large variety of skills that will compliment and enhance any company!
